With postcolonial theory in mind, I have to make the following recommendation: Crossing Borderlands: Composition and Postcolonial Studies (Lunsford and Ouzgane, eds, 2004), a collection that aims to put composition studies and postcolonial studies into conversation about issues such as writing, pedagogy, race, transnationalism, and literacy. I actually wrote a review of it but cannot find it! Argh! I'm still searching for the document though. As soon as I find it, I'll post.
In the meantime, check out contributions by Gary A. Olson, Susan C. Jarratt, Jaime Armin Mejia, C. Jan Swearingen and Lunsford's republished interview with "la jefa" Gloria E. Anzaldua.
